Diane Parrish comforts her 8-year-old son Stuart, who has autism, after he got upset during a class on animals at the Lakeview Museum Tuesday afternoon. Parrish and her husband, Robert, have spent the last year setting up a local chapter of the Autism Society of America to help other parents with the difficulties that come with raising an autistic child. The Parrish's have had great success with Stuart, who is on grade level and attends classes without an aide, through constant attentitiveness, working on his level and building up from there.
