Bradley Summerlin, 8, left, adjusts his blanket to keep warm as his younger brother, Clay Summerlin, 4, and their dad, Jason Summerlin, 30, fish off the Friendship Trail Bridge on an unexpectedly cold Sunday afternoon. At the request of Clay, whose 5th birthday is on Valentine's Day, the family, including older brother Jason Summerlin, 13, and dad's girlfriend, Jennifer Ayala, came from Winter Haven to go fishing. Despite the cold, and considering they had come so far and paid for a hotel the night before, they were not about to let him down. "I didn't think it was going to get this cold," the senior Summerlin said. (Times photo by David Zentz)
