Plena
Johnny Mevina plays traditional Puerto Rican "Plena" music with his group Johnny & Trabuco, during the Puerto Rican Saints Festival at the England Brothers Bandshell, 5121 80th Ave. N, Pinellas Park, Sunday. A crowd gathered around the group as they played the rythmic folk music Mevina says was once a form of communication between slaves.
