Alan Ford, working for an independent contractor, takes a break while working to salvage what can be taken from 901 North Maplewood Avenue, one of the first homes to be vacated and demolished in preparation for the Bradley University expansion in April. For the last two years Ford has worked maintenance for many of the rental homes near the university. Now he's working to tear them apart. "It's the end of an era.
