Officers pointed out that the boys were trespassing and were stuck should a train come along. "We understand that it's not safe on the tracks, but we're just trying to have fun," says TJ Grant. Remembrance Ride
Patriot Guard rider Gary Schrock cruises into Peoria on I-74 joining a procession of others during the Patriot Guard Riders' their third remembrance ride for Sgt. Keith "Matt" Maupin, the only soldier still MIA in the war in Iraq. The ride started in Bartonville and finished with a memorial service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Easter Voting
Election judge Annabelle Brown passes the time by knitting a blanket for her grandson's jazz band fundraiser while manning the polls during early voting at the Board of Election Commissioners building in Peoria where the polls were open from 9-4 on Sunday, despite the Easter holiday. By 3 p.m. the office had seen approximately 10 voters who came to cast their ballots for the school board and Peoria City Council at-large positions, making for a slow day for Brown and her co-workers.
