Jerry Lay, 58, a retired Army helicopter pilot who served in both Vietnam and again in the latest war in Iraq, works on the radio from a customer's Hughes TH55 1964 helicopter in his personal hangar behind his house in Minonk, Ill on Thursday, August 2, 2007. Between wars he worked at one point as a pilot for OSF and now primarily works as a helicopter mechanic and flight instructor. DAVID ZENTZ/JOURNAL STAR
