Courtnie Dodson, 18, a student in the Mentor Apprentice Program, an 8-week art apprenticeship program for high school students and recent graduates, works on an art piece built around a mannequin found by her grandmother in Florida, while she and other students set up for their upcoming exhibition in the main art gallery at the Peoria Art Guild Tuesday afternoon. The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday evening from 5:30-7:30 and will remain through the 22nd of September. DAVID ZENTZ/JOURNAL STAR
