Farm life
Peoria County Farm Bureau manager Patrick Kirchhofer is reflected in an exhibit on rural church life, featuring a wedding dress from 1942, as he puts up agriculturally-themed coloring contest submissions sent in from area schools on the opening day of the Farm Life exhibit at Three Sisters Park Thursday afternoon. The exhibit, which runs through August 19, showcases artifacts from the past 100 years of American farm life. The coloring contest is designed to heighten children's awareness of the importance of agriculture in our lives, noting that only 1 percent of American children today grow up on farms.
