Easter Voting
Election judge Annabelle Brown passes the time by knitting a blanket for her grandson's jazz band fundraiser while manning the polls during early voting at the Board of Election Commissioners building in Peoria where the polls were open from 9-4 on Sunday, despite the Easter holiday. By 3 p.m. the office had seen approximately 10 voters who came to cast their ballots for the school board and Peoria City Council at-large positions, making for a slow day for Brown and her co-workers. Voting was also open at the Peoria County Courthouse from 9-12. DAVID ZENTZ/JOURNAL STAR
