Candlelight Memorial

Laura Schmied kneels down with her 18-month-old grandson Aiden Belsly during a candlelight service at Illinois Wesleyan University in front of a memorial for her son and Aiden's uncle Illinois Wesleyan football player Doug Schmied who passed away a year ago after sustaining a heat stroke during a preseason practice at the age of 21.
